I am trying to add a generic 56000 bps modem in Windows 7. However, when I click 'Add' button in the 'Modems' folder of the 'Phone and Modem', and then tick 'Don't detect my modem; I will select it from a list', then the system retrieves the list of (Standard Modem Types) containing only communication cable between two computers and the parallel cable. There are no standard 300bps, 2400bps, etc. Modems in there and no other models. I am pretty sure the modem drivers are on my PC (at least, there is a lot of various mdmxxx.inf files in the c:/windows/inf directory. What should I do in order to re-install the list of standard modems? Many thanks in advance for the support.
